SEPTEMBER LEAVES

Everyone lies at least once in their life, but yet to see what lies do leaves you wondering whether or not you should tell them. Have you ever lied? Many people think little lies is not a big deal, but when one lie has happened more come to protect the first. Some individuals could relate to the main character of the short story “The Lie” by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., because of the pressures of getting into the best school in the area. Regardless of the consequence, it is always best to tell the truth. To begin with, all parents want their son or daughter to get in a good school, but when Eli’s parents want him to go to a school that his ancestors and his Dad have been going to, the pressures is on to pass entrance exam. But when he does not get into the school he tears up the letters, so his parents didn’t find out. Just like Eli my parents wanted me to join Troop 275 for boy scouts, but I wanted to go to troop 13, because they seemed more fun, then they said “boy scouting is serious not fun and games”, it was hard to stand up to my parents, but I went with my gut and went to troop 13 for boy scouts. Many people would of thought that Eli did not have the guts to tell his parents, but Eli did not want to get yelled at by his parents so he lied. When they got to the school to look around, he ran away from his parents hoping that his parents. Like some pets the will hide from you or go in your cage, because they know they did something bad. When Eli’s parents found out that Eli did lie and through away the letter and not tell his parents, But his parents understand that why he through the letter, because he had so much pensioner to getting into the school he thought his parent would kill him if he did not get in but they understood and forgave him. Many people lie to make their self better or to get them out of doing something. But many people don’t think what it can do. It can tell people that you are untruthful and they might think you’re not responsible and not trust you,

Call of Duty
The top game of the year, most sold game, the best graphics of all time, or biggest release ever are just some of the awards the “Call of Duty” series has gotten. The “Call of Duty” series has sold over one billion copies out so far today and still selling more. “Call of Duty” has just released the newest game of the series Black Ops. Out for a week and has sold 350 million copies so far. With it news spilt screen it makes it has another thing to buy Black Ops. With all the new modes on it like the new wager matches. This match lets you gamble with the money you get from winning matches to teach you don’t gamble all your money or you’re broke. In this wager match game there are 4 games in it, the first game is called the gun game. In this game you start with a pistol and every kill you get you get a different better weapon to use to fight with. The second game is sticks and stones, in this match you use crossbows and knifes to kill the enemy, but you also have a tomahawk, if you hit or someone hits you, you lose. Next game is called one in the chamber, in this game you have one bullet if you hit that person you get there bullet, but if you miss you have to use a knife to kill them. If you kill everyone you win it is really intense. The last game, but not least is called “hope for the best” and in this game you get any gun in the game and you fight to the death, and every 45 seconds you switch weapons. You do this 5 times before the game ends. Some people would say “the Call of Duty Company takes 9 mouths to a year to make a game, so they must suck; many good games take at least 18 mouths to make”. But I would come back and say the companies that make Call of Duty are some of the biggest companies in the world. Also the three companies that make Call of Duty they switch for every game, so it means that it takes 3 years to make a game but. Call of Duty the best awarded game around. Character Analysis
“The gang’s pet” many people would call Johnny Cade. Johnny a shy and quiet member of the Greasers in the book “The Outsiders”. Johnny described as the “lost Puppy” or “the puppy kick to many times”. Only 16 and he has been beaten, hit, kick, and slapped his whole life. I pick or liked this character, because of the pain and sensation of this character. Someone similar to this character would be the girl in the rocking donkey. She was always so lonely and quiet, and didn’t talk if she had to talk. His only family his mom and dad, but always abusing him and fighting all the time. They both physically and orally abuse him. To him the Greasers were his only family. They were the only people to give him love and affection. It was one of the best things that happened to him, until the Socs “a group of high class rich kids” Beat and cut up and almost kill him. Johnny vowed to kill the next person that jumped him, and he did. During the time Johnny and Pony boy in the book when they were running away a group of Socs jumped them and tried to drown Pony boy so Johnny killed one of them. Then he decided to hit and run from the cops. Now even more petrified than ever. After hiding from the cops cherry sticks up for Johnny and say it was all in self-defense. But when they came back to the church where they were live it was on fire and children were inside. So Pony boy and Johnny save the kids, but got very bad burns and die. But before he died the he knew he had a point in live. Johnny was always afraid of saying or doing anything, because he was always thinking of what would happen to him. But now he has something to reminder by. Not by being a neglected child or a killer, but now saving the lives of kids in a burning church. I think at the end Johnny Knew he did something right the difference, for the good. He might have thought I made a change.

The NeverEnding Story

Black, dark, nothing, these are some of the words that describe the thing, this creature, or the evil called “the nothing”. Imagine everything around you all of a sudden disappears. Once a beautiful land now gone, by darkness. A darkness that you cannot hear, see, or touch without being sucked into the nothing. The NeverEnding Story direct by Wolfgang Peterson and written by Michael Ende. Children crying, father’s hiding, as this thing kills everything. Only one man, no, one child with a pure sprit can only defeat the evil. Have you ever wanted to fly on a dragon, meet a princess, or fight the Nothing. In the movie the NeverEnding story a young child named Atryue was sent on a quest to defeat the nothing by the princess. But only a child with the purest sprit and wearing AURYN could defeat the evil and save fantisiona. Only a child could do this, because a child means good, happiness, and life. Child is like a baby, puppy, or new born which in any story has been the goodness in ever story. The AURYN is a symbol of good and evil. The AURYN is made out of two metal snakes fight for more power. One is white and the other is black. White is the good in life, white is want people see or think about heaven. It is hope in the story. The black in thought of death, hurt, dark colors, or a place of no return. The Gmork, a evil werewolf that was sent by the nothing to kill the only thing that could stop the nothing, Atryue. All romances have always had good in evil, like in the story the pearl. The pearl , when given to a poor family they become evil and greedy. In that story the baby was killed over this ball of evil called the pearl. In the pearl Kino a poor pearl diver, gets lucky and finds the “pearl of the world” the size of a gull’s egg. Soon this town finds out about this pearl, and everyone wants this piece of wonder or evil. Soon a evil selfish doctor caring nothing but himself soon sends bounty hunters after him. After awhile the Kino the main character gets into gun fight with the hunters and kills his child. So now this gift, thought from heaven, now a piece of hell. Good and evil has always been around, even before the human race. But will out the other they are nothing. There will always be good and evil and it is every where.
